Although the brand previously stated that the device would use a more powerful unit than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, new images and Geekbench performance tests prove that the phone features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Tested under the model number RMX5131, the device achieves a score of 1,352 in single-core tests and 4,058 in multi-core tests with this octa-core processor, securing its place in the upper-mid segment.
The device’s technical specifications are not limited to the processor; the camera and battery capacity, in particular, reach impressive levels. The rear panel features a 200-megapixel main camera with a Samsung HP5 sensor. This sensor is accompanied by a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens capable of 3.5x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens for wide-angle shots.
On the front, there’s a 50-megapixel camera for high-quality selfies and high-resolution video calls. The phone’s 6.8-inch AMOLED display offers 10-bit color depth, providing a smooth visual experience with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
In terms of power, the Realme 16 Pro Plus pushes the boundaries of its segment with its massive 7,000 mAh battery. This high-capacity battery charges quickly thanks to 80W fast charging support.
On the software side, the device, which comes with the Android 16-based Realme UI 7 interface, is expected to receive three major Android updates and four years of security patches. The phone, which boasts IP69 certification for water and dust resistance, is expected to have all its sales details finalized with its official launch on January 6, 2026.
